    IMPORTANT NEW PROCEDURE
    ... 2 HOUR WINDOW FOR ITEM DROP-OFF As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of our schools we have implemented a 2 hour drop-off window - 7:30 - 9:30am.  Please be sure that items are dropped off during those hours only. 
     
    ATTENTION ALL SENIORS please be sure to pick up your graduation tickets if you have not done so already.  ALSO remember to complete ALL your obligations prior to Wednesday, June 5th or you WILL NOT receive your cap/gown.  Obligations such as:
    • money owed to Cafeteria
    • Naviance Exit survey

     Science Fair 2013
    The Science Department congratulates teh following students for their awards at the Worcester Regional Science and Engineering Fair.  Each of the projects will be presented at the Massachusetts Science Fair at MIT in May.

    Jenna Bogan - The Effects of Nano-Silver on L. variegatus reproduction (4th award)

  • 2013 Scholastic Art Awards

    The Hopkinton High School Art
    Department is pleased to announce that our students were recognized with a remarkable 38 state level awards in the 2013 Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards.  
    Our students' artwork was selected from a field of nearly 10,000 entries from public, private, regional and arts magnet schools statewide.

    In the Massachusetts competition, Hopkinton High School students earned 8 Gold Keys, 12 Silver Keys, and 18 Honorable Mentions. Gold Key works will advance for national judging. Student work from every specialty at the high school was recognized. Congratulations to our winning students for their outstanding achievement!

    Gold and Silver key winners work will be on exhibit at the State Transportation Building, 10 Park Plaza Boston fromMonday, February 11 through Friday, April19, 2013.  The free exhibit is open Weekdays - 9:00 to 5:00 including holidays and Saturdays & Sundays - 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m.

    Hopkinton High School is pleased to announce that Talia Patapoutian has been named a Semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program.  Brian Leonard, Roland Muench, Melanie Fritsche, Tyler Mikulis, Ben Card, and Alex Kirshy have also been named Commended.  These students are being recognized for the exceptional Academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry.  Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
    Talia has also just been named a finalist in the Program as well.  Congratulations Talia!!

  • The Student of the Month is an award to celebrate the accomplishments of our students on a monthly basis.  They are nominated and voted on by the high school faculty.  These students are also published in the newspaper by Team McBride.  For the 2012-2013 school year the following students have been recognized.  October - Megan Franchock........November - Katherine Whitney.........January - Corinne Daley.......February - Jillian Lary

  • New Principals Announced
    Hopkinton Interim Superintendent, Dr. Steven Hiersche, is pleased to announce that he has appointed the new Center and High school principals.
     
    Lauren Dubeau appointed as Center School Principal. 
    Ms. Dubeau holds a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Worcester State College, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Westfield State College. She is currently the Principal for the Simonian Center for Early Learning, Sutton Public Schools in Sutton, MA. She began her career in education as a special education preschool teacher in Sutton Public Schools.
     
    Mike Cournoyer as High School Principal. 
    Mr. Cournoyer holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Worcester State College, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from the University of Lowell. He is currently the Principal for Holliston High School. He previously served as Assistant Principal of Hopkinton High School, and began his career in education as a high school health teacher at Southbridge High School.
    Ms. Dubeau and Mr. Cournoyer will assume their new role on July 1, 2013.
